I’d Love To Change The World

tj_live_9

This song was written in 1971 and in some ways it feels as though we’ve gone backwards. Who doesn’t want a world without war and greed... Again the acoustic guitar inspired me, then the lyrics. I think we need to keep singing these songs, I believe in a collective vibration, so I’m putting it out.

Lyrics

I’d Love To Change The World

Everywhere is freaks and hairies, dykes and ferries, tell me where is sanity?

Tax the rich, feed the poor, till there are no rich no more

Chorus:

I’d love to change the world

But I don’t know what to do

So I’ll leave it up to you

Population, keeps on breeding, nation bleeding, still more feeding economy

Life is funny, skies are sunny, bees make honey, who needs money monopoly

Chorus:

I’d love to change the world

But I don’t know what to do

So I’ll leave it up to you

World population, there’s no solution, institution, electrocution

Just black and white, rich or poor, them and us, stop the war

Chorus:

I’d love to change the world

But I don’t know what to do

So I’ll leave it up to you

Did you know..?
